Zoya Summer 2015 Paradise Sun | Review and Swatch

Happy Saturday!

Today I have swatches of the Zoya Summer 2015 Paradise Sun Collection. These 6 polishes are all shimmer polishes. All pictures below were taken with OPI Nail Envy base coat and no top coat.

Genesis
A white shimmer nail polish. This is 3 coats. You could get away with 2 coats but you might have some patches like me. The formula was smooth, but not completely self leveling. On the nail there is a lot more shimmer than Essie 'She Said Yes'.

Mae
A raspberry shimmer nail polish. This is 2 coats with no top coat. The formula was smooth and had a jelly consistency to it. The polish is jammed pack with glitter.

Aphroite
An orange red shimmer polish. This is 3 coats with no top coat.  The formula was smooth and had a jelly consistency to it. It was also the sheerest one in the collection.

Selene
A shimmer forest green polish. This is 2 thin coats. The polish is jammed pack with glitter. The formula was smooth, self leveling, and not streaky. The color is gorgeous! Unfortunately this color stained my cuticles a bit when I removed the polish.

Oceane
A shimmery blue polish. This is only 1 medium coat with no top coat. I love 1 coaters! The formula was smooth, self leveling, very opaque, and not streaky. Please note that the color appeared a bit lighter on camera.

ISA
A shimmery purple nail polish. This is only 1 medium coat with no top coat. The formula was smooth, self leveling, and very shiny. Unfortunately, there was a bad smell like the other purple polish in the summer collection.

Overall I loved the formula of all the polishes. They were quick drying and jam packed with shimmer. My favorite color was Genesis, I think i'll be wearing it to a wedding i'm going to next week!

This collection is available for purchase at top salons, spas and on zoya.com for $9 US

Zoya Summer 2015 Island Fun | Review Swatch & Comparison

Happy Saturday!

Today I have swatches of the Zoya Summer 2015 Island Fun Collection. These 6 polishes are all creme polishes. All pictures below were taken with OPI Nail Envy base coat and no top coat.

NaNa
A lovely fuschia or dark raspberry creme polish. This is 2 coats with no top coat. The formula was smooth and self leveling. I could have only used 1 medium coat, but since I missed a couple spots I added a second coat.
Demetria
A bright red orange creme polish. This is 2 coats with no top coat. The nail line was slightly visible on my ring finger. The formula was thinner than NaNa. It leveled out nicely and had a really pretty shine.

Serenity
An opaque purple creme polish. This is 1 medium coat with no top coat. The formula was thick and very opaque. The color is so beautiful! Unfortunately the polish had a odd smell to it. I'm not sure if it was just my bottle but it took me by a little surprise.

Jace
A veggie green cream polish. This is 2 thin coats with no top coat. I could have done 1 medium coat, but I had a tiny bit of patches that needed the second coat. The formula was very smooth and self leveling. This color is very unique and as you can tell from the photo, it makes my skin look so bright! I do not have anything like it in my collection.

Cecilia
A teal cream polish. This is 2 thin coats with no top coat. The formula was smooth and easy to work with. I am in love with this color!

Talia
A cerulean or ocean blue cream polish. This is 1 coat with no top coat. The formula was very smooth and self leveling. I used two coats of base coat and although there wasn't much of a stain on my nail when I removed it after 10 minutes, it stained my cuticles a bit. Also I must say that this color was very hard to capture on camera. On camera the color appears to be a cerulean blue but off camera it has more green/teal.

Overall I really enjoyed the collection. The color selection for summer was perfect! The formula was easy to work with and I think they would make nice editions to any collection. My favorite color was NaNa!

This collection is available for purchase at top salons, spas and on zoya.com for $9 US

ScentBird | Perfume Subscription Service Review

Happy Friday!

Today I have a a new perfume service review for you. The brand is called ScentBird. If you are like me and love subscription services like Ipsy and BirchBox then you will need to sign up for this monthly service.

The first month you will receive a luxury case to carry your fragrances. I received a black case but I heard from a source that they will be coming out with a pink case. The black case is very sleek and easy to use. They can easy be tossed into any purse and not get lost. I tend to use tiny free perfume samples but I always end up loosing them. This new case is the perfect solution!

Each month you receive a 30 day supply of a particular fragrance (0.27 oz/ 8 ml spray) for $14.95. After you sign up and take a quiz, the company will have recommendations for you. You have the option of picking from a huge list of perfume samples. The amount in this perfume is more than I need in a month. This is perfect for me to use all month and switch out when the next scent comes.

This new service is so unique. I must say this is a perfect way to try a bunch of perfumes before you make the plunge and buy an entire bottle of perfume. If you find yourself never finishing an entire bottle of perfume, then this service might be the perfect solution. The $14.95 price is a lot more doable for a girl on a budget like me. Check out the website if you are interested. It was fun to just take the quiz to see what perfume fits me best.

Anna Sui Nail Polish #325 & #324 | Review and Swatch

Happy Thursday!

Today I have a surprise mid week post. A quick review of Anna Sui nail polishes. I have never heard of this collection until it was gifted to me by my family. They bought it on the way back from asia because the bottle looked so unique.

First we have color #325. This color is a coral peach. The application was smooth and self leveling. The formula was thin and required three coats. The finish was very shiny!

Next we have color #324. This color is a beautiful blush pink. Perfect for weddings! I had the same experience with this polish. It needed three coats unfortunately with still a little see through on the ring finger. The dry time was quick. The final color is breath taking though! Seriously my new favorite color. I will endure the three coats for this lovely color. Perfect for weddings.

Overall, I can see why my family bought the polishes. The bottle shape and brand was appealing. The brush was easy to use as well. Over the formula was easy to work with. It was sheer but not watery. The polish also gives your nails a pretty smell once they have dried. The finish is very shiny! From searches online, I see the polishes running around $15 each. I would love to try more of the darker colors in the collection and just keep them all on my dresser as decoration. Until next time!
