China Glaze Fall 2015 | The Great Outdoors

Today I have a review of the entire China Glaze Fall 2015 collection. There are a total of 12 polishes like with most of the collections released by China Glaze. There is a nice variety of creams, metallics, and shimmer polish. Hopefully there is something that sparks your interest. Now on to the swatches...

Change You Altitude
A cream gray polish. The polish was a  bit thin and left some patches on the first coat. On the second coat the polish appeared very opaque. The finish is a semi glossy.

I added China Glaze 'Check out the silver fox' to the tips for some fun. It adds a nice twist to the regular mani.

I also did a bottle shot with China Glaze Five Rules which a more white based.

S'More Fun
A creamy lime green. This polish was more patchy than the previous polish. The second coat was opaque. The finish was semi glossy again.

I added simple dots with China Glaze 'Take a Hike'

I did a bottle shot with Essie Vibrant Vibes which a lot more bright.

Take a Hike
A deep green cream polish. This is a one coat beauty. This finish was semi glossy.

Sleeping Under The Stars
A deep blue cream with tiny red sparkles that appears in shifting shades. This is one coat.

Pondering
A metallic blue to purple shifting polish. The polish was sheer on the first coat with some patchy spots. Be careful with the stroke because it will leave streaks like shown in the picture.

Cabin Fever
A metallic bronze polish. This is two coats. The polish was less streaky than the previous polish but it will leave some streaks if you are not careful.  The polish is very shiny.

Free Bear Hugs
A deep blood red polish. I used two coats in the picture because it showed some patches when pictured. For regular day use you only need one coat. Be sure to be careful when application because it can stain your cuticles.

Gone Glamping
This polish is similar to Pondering in the bottle but a LOT different on the nails. When applied to the nail it is almost a gold shimmer.

Wood You Wanna?
A shimmer deep bronze. This is one coat. The finish is very shiny.

Lets Dew It
A multicolor blue and purple and pink shimmer. A sheer top coat with blue base. This is two coats.

My lodge is your?
A taupe pink polish. This is one medium coat.

Check Out The Silver Fox
A shimmer silver polish. This is one coat.

Overall The Great Outdoors 2015 collection reminded me a lot of fall. The only color that I didn't think belonged in the collection was S'More Fun. I loved the name though.

ChinaGlaze The Great Outdoors will be available in August 2015 at Ulta and Sally Beauty Supply. MRSP $7.50 for individual shades.

Zoya Fall 2015 Flair | Review Swatch & Comparison

Today I have swatches from Zoya's Fall 2015 shimmer color palette. There are 6 stunning colors in the collection. They all needed no more than two coats for opacity. I used two coats for every polish below. The polishes were all easy to use with smooth applications and shiny finish. To avoid streaks be careful with the strokes you make. The shimmer is beautiful but very hard to capture by camera.

Zoya Aggie
A bronze gold shimmer polish that has a hint of green when the light hits the polish at certain angles.

Zoya Cinnamon
A dark brown shimmer polish.

Zoya Ember
A ruby red shimmer polish.

Zoya Estelle
A night time blue shimmer polish.

Zoya Giada
A velvet purple shimmer polish.

Zoya Tris
A graphite shimmer polish.

Overall the colors were beautiful and perfect for the fall season. Zoya Fall 2015 Flair collection is available now at salons nationwide, including ULTA, and online at Zoya.com.

Zoya Fall 2015 | Focus Collection Swatch & Review

Today I have a review of Zoya Fall 2015 Focus Collection. This collection was at the beginning of this month and is available at Zoya.com

CHARU
A fall appropriate army green. This is a one coater. The formula was creamy, smooth, self leveling, and a glossy finish. I wore this polish for 1 day without top coat before I took this picture. There was minimal chipping on the index finger. I think the polish would be perfect if I added  top coat.

HANNAH
An apple red. This is two coats. The formula is thin and has a glossy finish. I liked the following polish better because this one you can see my nail line.

JANEL
A warmer apple red. This is one coat. The formula is creamy, smooth, and glossy on application. This polish is thicker than the previous polish.

DESIREE
A chocolate brown polish. This is two coats. The polish looked good with one coat, but for picture purposes it looks better with two coats.

SIA
A cobalt blue. This is one coat. The formula was smooth, creamy, and had a nice glossy finish. This is a must add to your collection!

LIDIA
A vampy deep violet. This is two coats. The formula is creamy, smooth, but patchy one the first coat. To get the color in the bottle, I needed two coats. It looks dark but will not be mistaken for black.

Overall I loved 5 out of 6 of the polishes. I am pretty impressed with the creamy formula and fall appropriate colors.

China Glaze Desert Escape | Summer 2015 Collection

Happy Monday!

Today I have swatches of the China Glaze Summer 2015 Desert Escape Collection. These 6 polishes are a mix of creme and shimmer polishes. All pictures below were taken with OPI Nail Envy base coat and no top coat.

Meet Me in the Mirage
A brilliant rose gold metallic shimmer nail polish. This is 1 opaque coat. This polish is loaded with color. Unfortunately you can see a few streaks. This color is perfect for an accent nail. After looking at the picture, the polish is more pink in person.

What’s She Dune?
A nude sandy beige crème nail polish. This was 2 thin coats. The formula was smooth and shiny. I compared the color to another favorite of mine Essie 'Sand Tropez' on my index finger. The color was similar, maybe a tiny bit lighter. I also compared the polish to China Glaze 'Five Rules' on my ring finger. This polish was a lot different, more grey and less beige.

Rain Dance the Night Away
A bright white based turquoise crème nail polish. This was 1 opaque coat. The formula was smooth and shiny. A polish is a little darker in person than the picture. Please note that the polish stains the cuticle a bit on removal.

Don’t Mesa With My Heart
A pink violet crème nail polish. This is 2 thin coats. The formula is smooth with a shiny finish. Be sure to use a gentle hand because the polish gathers on the brush.

Don’t Desert Me
An fuchsia shimmer nail polish. This is 1 opaque coat. The formula was smooth, self leveling, and minimal streaking. The polish had a shiny finish.

The Heat Is On
A red-orange crème nail polish. This is 2 coats because 1 coat was a bit thin. The formula was smooth, but a bit sheer. The polish had a shiny finish. I did a quick comparison to Zoya 'Demetri' which was creme. The polish is on the index/ring finger.

Overall my favorite color in this collection is China Glaze 'What’s She Dune?'

China Glaze® Desert Escape will be available in June 2015 online at LockAndMane.com.  Individual shades MSRP $7.50; Nail Design Kits MSRP $14.95, Tribal Council Micro Minis MSRP $12.00

Zoya Summer 2015 Paradise Sun | Review and Swatch

Happy Saturday!

Today I have swatches of the Zoya Summer 2015 Paradise Sun Collection. These 6 polishes are all shimmer polishes. All pictures below were taken with OPI Nail Envy base coat and no top coat.

Genesis
A white shimmer nail polish. This is 3 coats. You could get away with 2 coats but you might have some patches like me. The formula was smooth, but not completely self leveling. On the nail there is a lot more shimmer than Essie 'She Said Yes'.

Mae
A raspberry shimmer nail polish. This is 2 coats with no top coat. The formula was smooth and had a jelly consistency to it. The polish is jammed pack with glitter.

Aphroite
An orange red shimmer polish. This is 3 coats with no top coat.  The formula was smooth and had a jelly consistency to it. It was also the sheerest one in the collection.

Selene
A shimmer forest green polish. This is 2 thin coats. The polish is jammed pack with glitter. The formula was smooth, self leveling, and not streaky. The color is gorgeous! Unfortunately this color stained my cuticles a bit when I removed the polish.

Oceane
A shimmery blue polish. This is only 1 medium coat with no top coat. I love 1 coaters! The formula was smooth, self leveling, very opaque, and not streaky. Please note that the color appeared a bit lighter on camera.

ISA
A shimmery purple nail polish. This is only 1 medium coat with no top coat. The formula was smooth, self leveling, and very shiny. Unfortunately, there was a bad smell like the other purple polish in the summer collection.

Overall I loved the formula of all the polishes. They were quick drying and jam packed with shimmer. My favorite color was Genesis, I think i'll be wearing it to a wedding i'm going to next week!

This collection is available for purchase at top salons, spas and on zoya.com for $9 US

Zoya Summer 2015 Island Fun | Review Swatch & Comparison

Happy Saturday!

Today I have swatches of the Zoya Summer 2015 Island Fun Collection. These 6 polishes are all creme polishes. All pictures below were taken with OPI Nail Envy base coat and no top coat.

NaNa
A lovely fuschia or dark raspberry creme polish. This is 2 coats with no top coat. The formula was smooth and self leveling. I could have only used 1 medium coat, but since I missed a couple spots I added a second coat.
Demetria
A bright red orange creme polish. This is 2 coats with no top coat. The nail line was slightly visible on my ring finger. The formula was thinner than NaNa. It leveled out nicely and had a really pretty shine.

Serenity
An opaque purple creme polish. This is 1 medium coat with no top coat. The formula was thick and very opaque. The color is so beautiful! Unfortunately the polish had a odd smell to it. I'm not sure if it was just my bottle but it took me by a little surprise.

Jace
A veggie green cream polish. This is 2 thin coats with no top coat. I could have done 1 medium coat, but I had a tiny bit of patches that needed the second coat. The formula was very smooth and self leveling. This color is very unique and as you can tell from the photo, it makes my skin look so bright! I do not have anything like it in my collection.

Cecilia
A teal cream polish. This is 2 thin coats with no top coat. The formula was smooth and easy to work with. I am in love with this color!

Talia
A cerulean or ocean blue cream polish. This is 1 coat with no top coat. The formula was very smooth and self leveling. I used two coats of base coat and although there wasn't much of a stain on my nail when I removed it after 10 minutes, it stained my cuticles a bit. Also I must say that this color was very hard to capture on camera. On camera the color appears to be a cerulean blue but off camera it has more green/teal.

Overall I really enjoyed the collection. The color selection for summer was perfect! The formula was easy to work with and I think they would make nice editions to any collection. My favorite color was NaNa!

This collection is available for purchase at top salons, spas and on zoya.com for $9 US
