China Glaze Apocalypse of Color Fall 2014 Review + Swatch

Happy Monday!
Halloween is right around the corner and I have a sweet treat for you. Today I have the Apocalypse of Color Collection Halloween 2014. The collection includes 4 polishes, 1 glitter topper, and 1 glow in the dark polish. The colors and textures are perfect for Halloween. I think they did a great job capturing the essence of the holiday.

'But of Corpse' is a green base with black and green shimmer. The formula is thin allowing for multiple layers to be applied. The polish dries to a matte finish. This is two coats with no top coat.

'I Love Your Guts' is a magenta base with black and red shimmer. The formula is thicker then 'But Of Corpse' with spot addition of glitter needed. The polish dried to a matte texture. This is two coats with no top coat.

'Don't Let The Dead Bite' has a nude pink with red glitters. The glitters are micro and macro in size. I love how all the different sizes in glitter give the polish so much manicure. The polish dried to a shiny finish. This is three coat with no top coat.

'Ghoulish Glow' is a glow in the dark polish. I put two coats over 'Don't Let The Dead Bite' so you can see the red glitter through the polish. I must say it was difficult taking a picture of this product. Just keep in mind that you need to be in light for a few minutes to activate the glow in the dark quality once in the dark.

'Getting to Gnaw You' is a semi opaque black polish with copper shimmer. The polish dried to a shiny finish. This is two coats with no spot addition of glitter needed. I must say that I have nothing like this in my collection. Perfect color to pick if you want a dark look, but want to try something other than black!

'Rest In Pieces' is a clear polish with glitter pieces. I think this would look amazing with a black base. The polish dried to a shiny finish. This is two coats with spot addition of glitter.

What are your thoughts about the collection? I really like how they avoided going with an orange theme and focused on other colors that make you think of Halloween. I think the textured finished adds a nice touch. My favorite is 'Don't Let The Dead Bite' because I think it would look great as a manicure throughout the entire year. This collection was released early this month and will not last long in stores I am sure about it. So be quick in picking these up if you see something you like!
