Zoya Fall 2015 Flair | Review Swatch & Comparison

Today I have swatches from Zoya's Fall 2015 shimmer color palette. There are 6 stunning colors in the collection. They all needed no more than two coats for opacity. I used two coats for every polish below. The polishes were all easy to use with smooth applications and shiny finish. To avoid streaks be careful with the strokes you make. The shimmer is beautiful but very hard to capture by camera.

Zoya Aggie
A bronze gold shimmer polish that has a hint of green when the light hits the polish at certain angles.

Zoya Cinnamon
A dark brown shimmer polish.

Zoya Ember
A ruby red shimmer polish.

Zoya Estelle
A night time blue shimmer polish.

Zoya Giada
A velvet purple shimmer polish.

Zoya Tris
A graphite shimmer polish.

Overall the colors were beautiful and perfect for the fall season. Zoya Fall 2015 Flair collection is available now at salons nationwide, including ULTA, and online at Zoya.com.

Zoya Fall 2015 | Focus Collection Swatch & Review

Today I have a review of Zoya Fall 2015 Focus Collection. This collection was at the beginning of this month and is available at Zoya.com

CHARU
A fall appropriate army green. This is a one coater. The formula was creamy, smooth, self leveling, and a glossy finish. I wore this polish for 1 day without top coat before I took this picture. There was minimal chipping on the index finger. I think the polish would be perfect if I added  top coat.

HANNAH
An apple red. This is two coats. The formula is thin and has a glossy finish. I liked the following polish better because this one you can see my nail line.

JANEL
A warmer apple red. This is one coat. The formula is creamy, smooth, and glossy on application. This polish is thicker than the previous polish.

DESIREE
A chocolate brown polish. This is two coats. The polish looked good with one coat, but for picture purposes it looks better with two coats.

SIA
A cobalt blue. This is one coat. The formula was smooth, creamy, and had a nice glossy finish. This is a must add to your collection!

LIDIA
A vampy deep violet. This is two coats. The formula is creamy, smooth, but patchy one the first coat. To get the color in the bottle, I needed two coats. It looks dark but will not be mistaken for black.

Overall I loved 5 out of 6 of the polishes. I am pretty impressed with the creamy formula and fall appropriate colors.

China Glaze Desert Escape | Summer 2015 Collection

Happy Monday!

Today I have swatches of the China Glaze Summer 2015 Desert Escape Collection. These 6 polishes are a mix of creme and shimmer polishes. All pictures below were taken with OPI Nail Envy base coat and no top coat.

Meet Me in the Mirage
A brilliant rose gold metallic shimmer nail polish. This is 1 opaque coat. This polish is loaded with color. Unfortunately you can see a few streaks. This color is perfect for an accent nail. After looking at the picture, the polish is more pink in person.

What’s She Dune?
A nude sandy beige crème nail polish. This was 2 thin coats. The formula was smooth and shiny. I compared the color to another favorite of mine Essie 'Sand Tropez' on my index finger. The color was similar, maybe a tiny bit lighter. I also compared the polish to China Glaze 'Five Rules' on my ring finger. This polish was a lot different, more grey and less beige.

Rain Dance the Night Away
A bright white based turquoise crème nail polish. This was 1 opaque coat. The formula was smooth and shiny. A polish is a little darker in person than the picture. Please note that the polish stains the cuticle a bit on removal.

Don’t Mesa With My Heart
A pink violet crème nail polish. This is 2 thin coats. The formula is smooth with a shiny finish. Be sure to use a gentle hand because the polish gathers on the brush.

Don’t Desert Me
An fuchsia shimmer nail polish. This is 1 opaque coat. The formula was smooth, self leveling, and minimal streaking. The polish had a shiny finish.

The Heat Is On
A red-orange crème nail polish. This is 2 coats because 1 coat was a bit thin. The formula was smooth, but a bit sheer. The polish had a shiny finish. I did a quick comparison to Zoya 'Demetri' which was creme. The polish is on the index/ring finger.

Overall my favorite color in this collection is China Glaze 'What’s She Dune?'

China Glaze® Desert Escape will be available in June 2015 online at LockAndMane.com.  Individual shades MSRP $7.50; Nail Design Kits MSRP $14.95, Tribal Council Micro Minis MSRP $12.00
