Anchors Away Collection by Incoco

Happy Tuesday!

The Anchor Away Collection was released on July 15, 2014. The collection contains two solid colors and three designs. The three nail designs are: Coral Reef, Sandbar, and Hello Sailor. The designs are not considered nail stickers. They are 100% nail polish appliques that include a base, a color, and a top coat all in one. Ready to see the colors??

'Sandbar' + 'By the Sea' is a lovely combination. 'Sandbar' is a summer neutral and 'By the Sea' was shimmery neutral seashell. The colors are color neutral and perfect for the work environment. Both nail wraps were very easy to use.

'By The Sea' on index/ring finger + 'Sandbar' on middle/pinky finger

'Hello Sailor' is a mixed designs of sailor stripes in pink, navy, and teal. This nail polish appliques has so much detail. I love the pattern and wore it for four days straight.

'Yacht Party' is a mixed set of quilted anchor patterns, stripes, and gold chains. This nail polish appliques. I just love all the different patterns offered in this pack. You can wear them like I did or as an accent nail!

'Coral Reef' is a coral shade with delicate flecks of gold glitter. I just love how these turned out. They went on smoothly and look amazing.

The product is sticky on application when you first open the package. The stickiness allows the nail wraps to stick well. Do not push down and apply pressure until you are sure. It will be hard to remove. I checked again about two weeks after I had opened the package (exposed to air) and the product was still usable for a second manicure. Also, the product did not require a top coat! This allows for me to save time. Overall, I had a great experience with these products.

MoYou Nails Stamping Plate Review

I am sure you have heard of MoYou London, but have you heard of MoYou Nails

"These two companies were one time business partners, but they split into two separate ones with similar yet different. In regards to the difference between MoYou Nails and MoYou London, we are two completely separate companies.  The gentlemen behind MoYou Nails and MoYou London were at one time business partners, but as commonly happens in business, they differed in their visions for the future of the company and eventually split. Thus, you have the two different companies with similar name and concept."

I was sent a stamper set and few plates from MoYouNails to review. I must say this is my favorite scraper! It does not damage the plate unlike the metal scrapers. The stamper is nice and squishy. I inserted a picture after I tried out the items. It hold up pretty well after multiple uses! The scraper can easily be cleaned off. The stamping polish is good quality as well. The black polish was nice and thick. The white polish a little thinner, but still thick enough to stamp with. I decided to stamp with other polish too so you can see how the plates worked in case you were not able to purchase the entire set.

This is plate #N21. It has four full nail designs that are 1.5 cm x 1.25 cm in size. There is also a small leaf design on the side.

I decided to try the design with dots and curves. I swatched China Glaze 'Capacity To See Beyond' and used China Glaze 'New Birth' for stamping. The pattern transferred very nicely!
I think the manicure turned out very nicely! I stamped my index finger first. My hand was a little shaky on the application. My pinky finger turned out amazing though.

This is image plate #221. It has four full nail designs that are 1cm x 4cm. Due to the size, this may not cover the entire nail for everyone.

I used it as a fun narrow design on the fingers. I put two pieces of tape on both sides so that I would get a nice edge on all the nails. The base color is Ciate Amazing Grace. I used MoYouNails black for stamping.
As you can see, the entire design did not completely transfer. Each nail looked a little different because the design picked up more on some parts than others. I think this was because the stamper was a little too small for the design. I think a square stamper is needed in order to get a nice even pick up of the pattern. Overall I still I think it turned out really nice!

Here is another gradient using the essie fall 2014 collection. I think it turned out amazing.

The next plate is #202. This one has a lot of tiny designs.

I liked how the roses looked so much that I decided to stamp it over my entire nail. I used MoYouNails white for stamping. I added some nude color on some of the leaves.
The pattern transferred so nicely EVERY time! This was my favorite plate out of all the ones I received. I actually received an extra one from the company that I will be including in a future giveaway.

This is plate #223. I love all the detail on this plate. Again, this one has four full nail designs 1cm x 2cm.

This is ChinaGlaze 'Intelligence, Integrity, and Courage' stamped with MoYouNails white.
I think the pattern turned out great! I think the pattern is simple and elegant for day and office life.

Overall, I had a good experience with the plates. The more detailed designs took a little more patience and I would recommend them to users who have a good soft stamper like the one from MoYouNails. For beginners, I recommend the simple patterns and fun decals. They recently added more full nail designs. Click here so see the new products they have in store.

Stamping TIP: It is important to not swipe off too much if the design has a lot of detail. Also, be sure to work quickly and practice with stamping. Practice on a piece of paper before you decide to transfer to the nail.

Essie Fall 2014 Dress To Kilt Collection + Giveaway!

'Dress To Kilt' is a seductive red. The consistency was thinner than the rest of the collection, but was opaque with two thin coats. Application was smooth and self-leveling. The polish dries to a glossy finish. This is with no top coat.

'Take It Outside' is a punchy, fresh taupe. This is one coat. The formula was great! The polish dries to a glossy finish. This is with no top coat. I tend to gravitate towards the lighter colors in the collection.

'Fall In Line' is an enigmatic jade green. This is one coat. The consistency was good and the application was smooth. The polish dries to a gloss finish. This is with no top coat. This is my favorite color in the collection!

'The Perfect Cover Up' is a powerful peacock teal. This is one coat. The consistency was good and the application was nice. The polish dries to a gloss finish. This is with no top coat. This one did not stained my cuticles.

'Style Cartel' is an inky cobalt blue. This is one coat. The consistency was thin like 'Dress to Kilt' and you can see the small patches that needed a second coat. Still, not bad for one thin coat! The polish dries to a glossy finish. This is with no top coat. With the polish being thin, this one only stained my cuticles a tiny bit on removal.

'Partner In Crime' is a rich dark chocolate. This is one coat. The consistency was good and the application was smooth. The polish dries to a gloss finish. This is with no top coat.

Overall I loved this collection. The colors are perfect for fall and the formula was amazing for all of them.

Glam My Mani

I had the opportunity to review a set of nail vinyls. These nail vinyl are made from a family business. After you apply your base and top coat, it is important to allow time to dry. Once the polish is completely dry, then apply the nail vinyls. I tend to wait 5 minutes before using them. If you are in too much of a hurry, then it will pick up your polish and ruin your manicure. Before putting the vinyl onto the polish, I put the vinyl on my hand first. This prevents the vinyl from being too sticky for me. Here is a snap shot of the nail vinyls GlamMyMani has in store.

'Lightning Bolt' nail vinyls worked very nicely. It was easy to use after following the above steps.
China Glaze Community + Boundary of Memory

'Chevron' nail vinyls left very sharp lines. It was easy to use.
Cult Cosmetics Hollywood Hills + Runyon + Cataline

'Stripes' + 'Single Chevron' nail vinyls left very sharp lines. It was easy to use.
Cult Cosmetics Zuma + Melrose Place

Overall, I had a good experience with nail vinyls. The sets are on sale for 5.95 a pack right now. You can click here to go directly to the website. Be sure to follow them on Instagram

China Glaze Fall 2014 The Giver Collection Swatch/Review Part 2

Here is the second part of the collection. Click here if you want to see the first half.

'Boundary of Memory' is a brown and gold glitter. This is two coats. The consistency was good and the application was nice. The polish dries to a matte/gloss finish. This is with no top coat.

'Community' is a chocolate brown creme. This is two coats. The consistency was good and the application was nice. This is with no top coat.

'Friends Forever, Right?' is a white creme with a hint of pink. This is two coats. The consistency was goopy and the application was patchy. This is common with most white/pink colors across the different brands I noticed. This is with no top coat.

'Givers Theme' is a bright purple creme. This is two coats. The consistency was good and the application was nice. This is with no top coat.

'History of the World' is a dusky blue gray creme. This is two thin coats. The color would have looks perfect with one medium coat as well. The consistency was good and the application was nice. This is with no top coat.

'Seeing Red' is a bright red creme. This is one coat. The consistency was good and the application was nice. This is with no top coat.

'The Outer Edge' is a white glitter. This is two coats. The consistency was good and the application was nice and even. This is with no extra glitter placement! This is with no top coat.

After swatching the entire collection, I must say that I love them all. My top three favorites from this collection are:

China Glaze Fall 2014 The Giver Collection Swatch/Review Part 1

I have part of the china glaze 'The Giver' collection swatched for you. I also uploaded everything to my Pinterest account so you can pin them!

“Inspired by the most anticipated movie release of the summer, the collection combines bold and neutral crèmes, and a gorgeous glitter to create 12 limited edition shades. Influenced by the powerful themes and message of the story, The Giver collection by China Glaze® brings key moments and characters to colour, particularly the main character Jonas (Brendon Thwaites) and his friend Fiona (Odeya Rush) as he struggles to understand the dark, complex secrets behind his seemingly ideal community."

Enjoy the swatches!

First we have 'Release'. This is a grey purple that is opaque with two thin coats. Great formula. This is a perfect color for fall.

'New Birth' is a pale pastel blue. This is two thin coats. Great formula

'Intelligence Integrity & Courage' is a dusky grey blue. I love the name of this polish. This is two thin coats. Great formula.

'Five Rules' is a neutral taupe. This is opaque in one coat! Great formula and my FAVORITE out of the entire collection!

'Capacity To See Beyond' is a fun turquoise sea blue. This is one medium coat. I love how they added a few pops of color to this collection. I added some fun nail art using a stamp. The color I stamped with was 'New Birth'

Milani Nail Polish Review Part 1

Milani cosmetics recently launched a new nail polish line. I was sent the entire collection, but I will be reviewing them in smaller sets so it is not overwhelming. Here is a quick review of six milani nail polishes. I swatched three blues and three pinks!

"Mint crush" is a light blue that was opaque in two coats. The formula was great, not clumpy or too thin. Below I used it as a base for nail art. The bottle I am holding is actually tattle teal. I added some nail art with stamping plates!

"Talle Teal" is a seaform green/blue that was opaque in one coat. The formula was great, not clumpy or too thin. I added some nail art with stamping plates!

"Water Front" is a ocean blue that was opaque in one coat. The formula was great, not clumpy or too thin. I added some nail art with stamping plates!

I also decided to swatch three pink colors as well! I will post these up later in the week!
